MEGA'S NEXT TURN...

Ladies and gentlemen, the signs are getting clearer... painfully...that MEGA 2018, the 6th season, may not hold after all!

Permit me to quickly explain carefully, so as to avoid any misrepresentation.

First, the number of quality submissions of albums and singles is disappointing - after almost three months of open entry window. We had earlier resolved not to scavenge music stores to buy and add quality but unsubscribed works to augment our Screening List. On that score, our Screeners and Judges have wondered if the problem was lack of awareness of entry requests; awkward sentiment of music ministers about voluntary submission of works; effects of the devastating economic recesssion on gospel music business; or what else? We frankly don't have the complete answer to give the great creative men and women of God.

Secondly, we have still not overcome the staggering sponsorship difficulties encountered in the making of the 2017 event (which nevertheless turned out a wonderful three-hour live radio-show on multiple channels, courtesy of the powerful Raypower FM stations, ably supported by Top Radio FM). The climate has not become clement, nor the indices attractive.

God being our witness, we generally would love to keep the high standards and diligent traditions of MEGA alive in its sixth year... however, except the Almighty speaks differently, this year's event may have to be suspended...until further notice.

To all who have dutifully submitted their works via our website, email address or collection centres, we express our sincere apology at the turn of events, and crave your understanding and support. Kindly, remember us in your prayers so that we can truthfully say, and mean it: This Too Shall Pass!

Warm regards to our colleagues, members of our different organs, associates, supporters, promoters, partners, collaborators, and so forth...may our labour of love be acceptable in His sight! Amen. Thank you all.
